Titan Wing

Titan Wing is a long-duration aircraft mission concept designed to explore Titan, Saturn’s largest moon and one of the most promising locations in the solar system for investigating pre-biotic chemistry. The aircraft is intended to operate for approximately one year, collecting atmospheric and surface mapping data to improve of Titan and support future exploration missions. The team developed the aircraft configuration and sizing, science payload, navigation and communications understanding systems, radioisotope power system, orbital and entry analyses, and structural concepts for the fuselage, wings, and empennage, along with an entry vehicle and heatshield to deliver the aircraft safely to Titan’s atmosphere.
