Problem statement

Since 1924, Milwaukee Tools has continued to develop reliable power tools to consumers across the country. In order to ensure reliability, automated life testing is conducted using an eddy current brake. Although it can be utilized, the current brake that the company uses is expensive and not easily machined, impacting the overall production of our clients power tools. A new eddy current brake is needed that is durable, low cost, modular, and easy to implement. By designing a new easily implemented braking system, our team can help Milwaukee Tool push more products as more of their power tools can be life tested at once. We can also help our client’s company save money by looking into cheaper material and above all continue to help satisfy their customers by producing reliable parts.
