End-effector for Construction Site Cleanups
Problem statement
Construction presents a multitude of potential use cases and unique applications for robotics and technology. These use cases can utilize a variety of evolving technologies, with one of the first implementations potentially being assistive robotics. Construction sites often leave behind massive amounts of waste in raw materials, which leaves a hefty cleanup and additional work for blue-collar workers. The leftover materials often include planks of wood, small nails, hand tools, etc. The cleanup process needs a simpler way to sift through the site, pick and place objects, and eliminate large obstacles, helping restore the site to a clean and organized state. The job is strenuous and requires extra labor, however this can be solved with physical automation.
