Collegiate Wind Competition 2023
Problem statement
The Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) created the Collegiate Wind Competition to contribute to renewable energy job preparedness and energy equity in the transition to a global clean energy economy. Specifically, the CWC’s objective is to prepare students from multiple disciplines to enter the wind energy workforce by providing real-world experience for researchers, scientists, engineers, educators, project managers, and businesses and sales forces. WiscWind accepts this challenge and strives to build the best wind turbine within the competition parameters while engaging many students from varying academic backgrounds.
