Design, build and test heated ski pole handles
Problem statement
Cold hands when skiing is a common occurrence and can ruin a day on the slopes. While heated gloves or hand warmers are options, a design for heated ski poles handles has not come to market. Skiers are already holding poles, it would make sense to allow the handles to heat their hands at the same time. Our client, John White, is an avid skier and wants us to create a variety of prototypes of heated ski pole grips so he and others can test them on the slopes this coming winter. After testing and more development we hope to bring our design to manufacturers. The final product must be cost effective to entice buyers, so around $100 more than a normal ski pole. The heating element must also be able to withstand all the forces it will so through when a skier uses the pole normally, drops it or crashes while skiing.
