Power Assist for Clean Snowmobile
Problem statement
The Canadian Jetskis will create an electronic power assist to increase both peak performance and functionality of the snowmobile engine for the Wisconsin Snowmobile Team in their annual competition. An electric power assist solves multiple issues simultaneously and improves the chances of success in competition. Most importantly, it provides an additional 15-25% increase in power without increasing fuel intake. Additionally, it addresses common environmental concerns on snowmobile exhaust by allowing a fully electric setting for low horsepower applications like loading/unloading. Our group’s goal is to provide a comprehensive plan with empirical evidence to provide the best way to implement an electric power assist to the Wisconsin Snowmobile Team’s current snowmobile.
